The brass soap stand may develop verdigris (greenish rust) in response to moisture or water. This is a natural occurrence and does not indicate peeling paint, and it is harmless to humans. To prevent verdigris, please avoid keeping the stand in a constantly wet condition. If it does appear, it can be easily cleaned with lemon and baking soda or vinegar and salt.
Dry periodically to prevent oxidation.
Due to the handmade character irregularities may occur.
