ABOUT THE COLLECTION
OBLIQUE is a study in surreality. Embracing the unease of experimentation, Le Lou Ula’s newest collection plays with earrings that dance with the litheness of mobiles, rings that veer into unexpected shapes, and nail enamels that bloom. The result is an elusive balance, asking more than it tells, intuiting more than it knows.
ABOUT LE LOU ULA
Bramble Lee Pryde founded Le Lou Ula in 2013 and relocated to Calgary, Alberta in 2017. As a multidisciplinary artist, Pryde created a faceted brand that encompasses handcrafted demi-fine silver and gold adornments for the body and vessels for personal ritual. The culmination of decades spent exploring sculpture in many mediums, photography and painting, Le Lou Ula houses fine art, functionality, and design under the same atelier.
Since its foundation, Le Lou Ula has been a pathbreaker in the slow fashion movement as Pryde continues to experiment with silver, gold, and dirt in the realm of unconventional jewelry. Every piece of work is designed, forged, cast, and finished in her studio without an iota of production outsourcing. Her solo efforts and collaborations with photographers and designers have garnered praise and placements in international print and online publications such as PAPER Magazine (USA), Make It Last (Sweden), Culture Magazine (Australia), and Art Zealous (USA), as well as the network television series Pretty Little Liars.
